I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

This sweet book was one of my most anticipated. And while I didn't re-read the first book I didn't feel lost. I remembered quite a lot and additionally, Cora took pains in reminding me how all the characters came to be. Add in a mysterious extra third POV and you'll find out how the main villain of the book came to be. Aurora had some growth as a character but I really enjoyed reading Kiran and I still have some fears and conflict regarding Cassius. New characters are also introduced along with old ones and the comedy relief in some parts of the story was refreshing.

The ending was also a cliffhanger and I don't know if there'll be anything left of Pavan after the third book is published!

I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. 

The epic saga of Esmae's adventure continues in this thrilling sequel! Inspired by the Indian stories and mythology, Esmae has to face trickster gods, new danger and also her conflict between her true and adoptive family.

I enjoyed thoroughly this book! It felt small in length as I read it but the action was fast-paced and the secrets, betrayals, and revelations kept coming the one after the other! I also read Titania's POV and I believe that this will play a critical role in the final book. I also loved the romance; Max and Esmae are amazing together and the final moments tore my heart. Amba, the goddess also kind of redeemed for the first book. I seriously her the Rey family both for their hatred and curses but also for their pride and inaction in many of these chapters.

I don't know who or what will survive in the final book. There are many open battles and that final scene was also a kind of a cliffhanger!

I received an e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. 

Case and Aspen are two people who were hit hard by life and both try to find new meaning after the tragedy. Well, add in a mystery, car chases and steamy romance and you have a great recipe that never fails to amaze me in a book by Jay Crownover.

The town of Loveless is a great place to develop this new series. There used to be a very high crime rate and Case, as the new Sheriff, tries to bring back peace and justice after he brought down his own father, who was the previous sheriff. Aspen tries to settle after her separation with her husband and soon she will find herself entangled into a mystery that wants her dead.

Haters to lovers relationships are also a favorite trope for me. And it was done in a way that felt realistic and emotional. I can't wait to see what will happen with the next upcoming couple!

I love Margaret Rogerson. As a writer with her debut novel "An Enchantment of Ravens", she transported me to the world of the Fae where magic and paintings have power. In her new book, Libraries are Institutions where books are kept safe, and locked away from the eyes of humans and also magic can be found among their pages, along with other terrifying things.

Elisabeth has grown among books all her life; when the Director of her Library is found dead and a sorcerer named Nathaniel is brought to deliver her in the capital for questioning, shedding light to long lost secrets and how the grimoires can be used for both good and evil.

Margaret's writing is stellar. I loved Elisabeth as the main character along with Nathaniel and his demon servant, Silas. There's sarcasm, adventure, action and a romance that's slow burning and very beautiful to read. I also loved Silas; for a demon who is supposed to care only for the magic, he gains he also loves Nathaniel and tries to help Elisabeth. The plot moves quickly and doesn't tire. I also didn't expect the final battle which was simply a-m-a-z-i-n-g!

And for those who keep asking; NO. Sorcery of Thorns isn't a sequel to An Enchantment of Ravens.

When not writing I can be found drawing, reading, gaming, making pudding, or creeping through the woods in search of toads and mushrooms. I enjoy collecting odd scarves and watch more documentaries than is socially acceptable (according to some). Currently I live just north of Cincinnati, Ohio, but one day I would like to live next to a forest that gets darker at night than it should and makes strange noises during the witching hour. Books coming in Fall 2019 that I want to read!

Due to a review slump, I don't feel like reviewing the books I've read. Apart from the ones I am reading for blog tours I'm thinking of making a group or reviews. So for today's post, I have gathered some of my most anticipating books in 2019 which are being released this fall! Some are debuts, others are sequels.

Stormrise by Jillian Boehme: Inspired by the Twelfth Night, a little bit of Mulan and having dragons this debut also has one of the best covers! 

Into the Crooked Place by Alexandra Christo: It does have a "Six of Crows" vibe but the plot is far more mysterious.

Find me their Bones by Sara Wolf: Holy wow! The first book left me with a need to know what will happen! I can't wait for this! And the tail behind the woman? Sccaarryy!

The Beautiful by Renne Ahdieh: Vampires in New Orleans. I don't know how to feel but I miss the toothies and a good setting in the South.

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi: The first book left me in a cliffhanger and I dread to see how the balance has been shifted.

Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco: Thomas and Audrey-Rose! My favorite couple (one of many but still) who will have to fight one more murderer in Chicago. I'm very excited about this!

Queen of Nothing by Holly Black: I have already solved the mystery of Cardan's words. I only hope that Jude will do the same! 

When she Reigns by Jodi Meadows: Dragons, sleeping gods, power, politics and forbidden romance! The final book will surely kill me.

Lifestyles of Gods and Monsters by Emily Roberson: If the myth of the Labyrinth was a reality show and Ariadne was the princess in charge of it, what would happen? The cover is smartly made and the plot is interesting.

Dragon Unleashed by Grace Draven: The sequel to Pheonix Unbound, the story follows a dragon disguised as a man as he tries to hide from the murderous Empress (b*ch) from the first book. Honestly, I love Grace Draven and her writing and I know I'll love this one too!

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo: This is an ADULT book NOT a YA! Also there is magic and tragedy and I have no idea what secrets I'll find here.

Blood Truth & Where Winter Finds you by J.R. Ward: The first is the sequel to BDB Legacy and the second continues the main plot of BDB. I can't wait for Trez's story because his book killed me.

Oh my dear where can I begin? Should I begin with the gorgeous worldbuilding, which also makes a great turn to stellar representation, or should I begin with the characters whom I rooted from beginning to the end of the book?

Zafira, Nasir, Altair and the rest of the characters (whom I won't mention so you can be surprised) band together in a quest that can save their countries but also it can destroy the world as they know it. Filled with creatures inspired by magic and mythology, deities and quests that test their own fears, all characters face the on-going danger.

Not to mention that the romance was done perfectly! Enemies to lovers with great moral obstacles to surpass is a must for me! I loved Nasir and Zafira and Altair was a great surprise. I cried and begged but towards the ending, I couldn't stand everything that happened, the secrets revealed and the fear that still makes me think that the next book will destroy my feels.

Hafsah's writing is gorgeous, lush and made me beg for more. I can't wait for the next book!

Following the introductory novella, the amazing setting of this magical circus becomes enriched with the story of Irene and Booker. Darkness and light, love and hatred all fall together as romance sizzles and the power to stand up for yourself makes an appearance. I will say it again; Emma Hamm is a stellar author and she never fails to make me feel her characters and the world-building. Not to mention that in this story the tattoos come to life!

About the author:

I am from a very small rural town in Maine. I grew up amid blueberry fields, a farm full of animals, and surrounded by family. It was one of the best ways for a child to grow up. Horses blew puffs of sweet smelling breath in my hair, goats teased me until I giggled, and someone who loved me was always there to pick me up when I fell. I am truly blessed to have grown up in such a fashion.

The love of creative story telling started when I was very young. I used to “act out” the way a story should have gone and argued with my mother constantly about the endings of movies. I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

So it took me almost a month to gather my wits and write this review. Because I don't know how to describe both the amazing talent of Jay Kristoff and also I couldn't stop crying, wishing for some characters to still be alive as also for more stories from this world.

Darkdawn picks up from where it left; with Mia running for her life while at the same time revelation after revelation catapults her and a gang of other favorite characters in a long, ancient battle. At the same time, Scaeva plots for more power and there are enemies everywhere.

Truedark arrives and no one knows if they'll survive or not.

The book is big! And I loved it because it never let me down, I read/flipped page after page of fighting, smutty scenes that made me...well they were hot scenes! And my heart ached for THAT character that was to my opinion, the bravest of all, second to Mia. Mr. Kindly was amazing as always while the mythology behind this world made me remember of all primordial myths which are evident to every civilization. Mr. Kristoff knows his research. ;)

The ending was bittersweet; I feel like that every time I finish a book by Jay Kristoff, because life is not always filled with HEAs but those that the characters have are the best that could happen after everything they've been through.

Read the damn book! It's f*ing brilliant!
