REVIEW

It was the first time I read a book which had such rich descriptions. Bann and his son Corr are on the run. A crazy god is hunting them down in order to get his revenge.

Since the family is no human we are quickly thrust into the Celtic world, which is rich with tradition, myths and legends.

I loved the type of character Bann is: warrior, lover, father. He is stuborn, funny and tortured. His son, Corr is an adorable eight years old boy which adds a happy tone into the story.
Shay Doyle and her family also happen to be Fey like Bann, as also warriors who support their own. It's a story about family, love and friendship with action and swoon moments! :)

As for the ending, it's clear that many more things await the heroes and I hope to be able and read Bann's adventures again.

 I recieved and ARC from the author in exchange for an honest opinion


I love Mia Sheridan. It began with Archer's voice (which by the way will become a movie) and still continues. After Sagittarius, Leo, Scorpio and Pisces it's time for Taurus.

Ten and Kaylan live in ar rural poor town into the mountains. Life is hard and a scholarship is the only thing that seperates them. And brings them together at the same time. Told by two different POVs their story unfolds in all the tragedy which is enough to make you cry. There are some funny moments into the story, glimpses of joy and love, but soon everything shatters.

When Ten and Kayland find each other again they have to deal with the secrets which broke them apart and also they come to realize that love can win over anything; be it money, fame and any thing corporeal.

What matters is the love of another and that's how the beauty of Mia Sheridan's writting brings it to the readers. A heartful, complete read and one of the most emotional, I've read so far on the contemporary genre.

REVIEW
Yup another great book by Karina Halle!


I finally saw a book which touched the every day problems of 20 to 30 years old people. Linden and Stephanie are these two heroes. They begin with a funny act; they make a pact in which they will marry each other by the time they turn thirty. But what happens when they come to realize that they do have feelings for each other, apart from friendship?

Stephanie is the first POV. She is sweet, funny with deep thoughts about her future and her dreams. As the book progress we see her transform from an outgoing woman into an adult with more thoughts about her closest people and soon she realizes that Linden is more than a simple friend. She is also afraid about how this part will affect their friendship.

Linden, as the second POV, is Scottish, pilot and sexy. What more can I say? His moments on the book are the one I laughed and cried the most. Especially since I didn't expect the last part close to the end of the book.

All the characters on the book struggle, love and hate, cry and become stronger through their mistekes. It's a deep emotional book and one of Karina's best ones, after "Love in Spanish."

On "Defy" Alexa is posing as a boy together with her brother in order to survive a cruel fate. Under the rule of a harsh king and a prince who hides many secrets Alexa will soon realize that nothing she'd been taught is what it seems.

Damian and Rylan are the love intersts but it becomes clear that there is no love triangle. The desriptions of the wolrd Alexa lives are colorful and vivid with colors and sounds, as if you can feel the jungle coming to life.

Alexa has to battle her emotions and her duty but her devotion to her poeple's pain is remarkable. The book is filled with action to the point you can't comprehend when did the book end.

Recommended to the lovers of high fantasy and adventure!

Hello and welcome to day 5 of my bloganniversary! On day 4 I had featured the second book of the "Starbound" Trilogy, "This Shattered World". But today we go down on the earth and into the world of Erilea! If you haven't guessed already here's a name for you:

REVIEW

Yup, I am officaly hooked!

What a strong world building and how amazing the characters were! When you hear the wolrd assasin, you think of tortured souls and dark, scary places. But with Caleana you get a different kind of character!

She is strong, confident and smart. She had a painful past, but that doesn't stop her from claiming her freedom by any means needed. She is chosen a a candidate Champion for Dorian, Crown Prince of the very same king who threw her to the mines and soon she is thrust into a world of riches, politics and dark creatures.

I absolutely adored the descriptions of the clothes and the way the third POV moved in order to cover all the characters. Chaol's attitude was really funny and the feelings between Dorain and Calean were not that of the insta-love.

While Dorian still felt like the bored kind of prince, I hope to see more action by his side. Caleana was the most active protagonist and I enjoyed every part of her sass, humor and thoughts!

A book, which I will recommend and hope to read the rest soon enough!

When Heather shows Franklin the machine, she ensures him that they will change the world together and make it a better place. But Franklin can't help but feel a little ominous about it all...

REVIEW

  ARC from author in exchange for an honest opinion.

This was a small story about a girl and a boy who could time travel. Beth's idea of using sci-fi genre is well known and she doesn't miss a chance to place it on every detail. While I idn't expect this plot when I began the short story, I was surprised by the ending and the justice which was given.

I can't wait to read the whole collection!
