THE POST PROMPT:
What is your favorite opening scene?
MY ANSWER:
There are many opening scenes that I love. This year I had the luck to read two books that made me have so many feels I couldn't even review them. One of them is "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern, which opens with the scene of the magical circus arriving without notice and slowly the circus is described. In every new chapter, there is more and more of the circus to see.

Another favorite opening scene comes from Laini Taylor's series "Daughter of Smoke and Bone". And it goes like this:
"Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love.
It did not end well."
