When a series has made you cry, laugh, then cry again, then you know that there is no way you would forget it. The "Air Awakens" series has become something like that; I can only relate with this feeling I have only with "Throne of Glass" and "The Winner's Curse" series.

In the 4th book Vhalla is on the run, trying desperately to forget about Aldrik and at the same time survive the Knights who want her dead. The pace was fair and good and I never felt anything amiss. There were many surprises, bad ones, in this book. A sudden death and a villain you never expect. A pact that was made in order to bring peace and many broken hearts.

I think this was the most emotional of the books, even from Earth's End. The descriptions were stunning, some characters especially from the Golden Guard brought some shiny moments in the plot but overall, there was quite some character development, especially from Aldrik.

Now I understand the symbolism behind the cover. If you follow the series then you know what I mean and Elise Kova has also mentioned how the cover can work as a clue for the story as whole. I really can't wait for the final book, but especially I am giddy and excited to see what other masterpiece Elise Kova can bring to us! ;)
